Interview with the winners of our London trip

date 2026 September 23
Winner with Mrs. Buchzik

This time, Nicoletta Czechowska hit the jackpot in our competition: as the winner of our London trip, she was able to attend the 2nd International Ayurveda Congress live. We asked her about her experiences and impressions before and at the end of the congress.

Interview Part 1 (before the congress)

Q: Dear Ms. Czechowska, we warmly welcome you to London. Congratulations again on your win.
How did you get into Ayurveda, anyway? Have you known about Ayurveda for a long time?

A: In Poland, we met an Ayurvedic doctor from India who once helped me a lot with a health problem in the past. Since then, Ayurveda has somehow always been "there". In Germany, we then tried to get high-quality Ayurvedic products. That's how I came across Maharishi Ayurveda. Maharishi Ayurveda is also present in organic shops, where I regularly shop. So, we slowly got to know the brand. The quality quickly convinced us.

Q. What is the most important thing for you about Ayurveda? What do you particularly appreciate about this ancient health system?

A: It's so old and therefore so proven that it actually always works. Completely different from Western medicine, where, in my opinion, a lot is tried out. Ayurveda is comprehensive, yet simple. Even spices, for example turmeric, already have an effect.

Q: Do you have a personal Ayurveda tip for our customers?

A: It's the many little things that are effective, for example, getting up before 6:00 a.m. You can hardly imagine it, but if you try it for just a week or even just a few days, you'll feel the effect. Just see: what helps me, what does me good? Or cooking with spices, that makes a big difference. Not just salt and pepper, but experimenting with which spices you cook. And then not just one spice, but six. Then you quickly notice that you digest better or that you feel better – and it tastes better in the end. You feel "more satisfied" at the end of the meal, without feeling that something is "missing" and you still get a craving for chocolate or chips, for example.

Q: How did you feel when you found out about your win? Please describe that moment.

A: I was in the organic shop when the phone rang. I couldn't believe it at first. I had never won anything before, and suddenly someone with a Dutch number calls and says I've won a trip to London for the 2nd International Ayurveda Congress. I was so happy. It was in January, the year had just begun, it was a good start to the new year.

Q: What are you looking forward to?

A: Tomorrow we'll do some sightseeing first, and then we're looking forward to the congress starting Saturday. We've chosen topics for the parallel events that particularly interest us. We will definitely attend the concert on the evening of the first day.

Interview Part 2 (towards the end of the congress)

Q: The 2nd International Ayurveda Congress is slowly coming to an end. What did you particularly enjoy?

A: Overall, we really enjoyed London and the congress. Thank you again for everything. As a microbiologist, I was particularly thrilled by the combination of old traditions with the latest scientific research, because this shows that Ayurveda really works. Not just in the old books, but also today in the laboratory and in hospitals.

Q: Were there any personalities who particularly impressed you?

A: Oh yes, many. We also really enjoyed the lectures on Yoga and Ayurveda.

Q: Was there an experience that particularly thrilled you?

A: What particularly thrilled me was to see how everyone works together when it comes to the common topic: "Ayurveda." The discussions, which were sometimes quite controversial, were always conducted in a very pleasant tone. We found that very striking. To see that fluctuations are possible, that not everything is rigidly fixed, but that the positive interaction with each other never suffered.

Q: How would you describe the atmosphere of the congress?

A: Very warm, sometimes even very intimate. You get the feeling that most of the people know each other, and new participants are warmly integrated.

Q: Is it worth coming back again? In two years, the congress will take place in Brazil...

A: If we can, definitely!

Q: Was a lot new to you here at the congress?

A: We were already familiar with quite a bit, but we certainly learned many details here. The meeting of international cultures was particularly nice for us.

Q: What would you like to tell people who couldn't come this time?

A: That it is incredibly valuable to exchange ideas with other people. That you don't just sit at home in your practice, but exchange ideas with colleagues.

Q: Thank you very much. We were also very pleased to welcome you here. We wish you a good journey home!
