Panchsakar Churna is a simple yet precious combination of herbs that reduce Vata dosha while increasing Agni and Pitta. The power fruit Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) is a member of the myrobalan family and is a well-known ingredient in the highly acclaimed dietary supplement Triphala.

Haritaki has five of the six tastes (sweet, sour, tart, bitter, and spicy) and, together with the fennel also contained in this churna, has a very soothing and calming effect. Ginger and rock salt increase agni, the digestive fire, and cassia supports the clearing of thesrotas*. .
