Ayurveda as a companion in turbulent times
Unleash new potential now
Everything is different this year. How are you doing in this time of challenge, which we have never experienced before? Now we truly realize how much we have taken for granted in our lives so far: travel, culture, restaurant visits, cinema, moving freely in public, hugs, conversations with neighbors, simply everything that daily life entails and constitutes our social togetherness. Even now, we can appreciate all of this much more. Many people are now developing a whole new sense of togetherness, strengthening each other and reporting that this gives them support. They are developing new creative ideas and solutions. Our creativity can best unfold when we are calm, because then our brain functions better. We all know this and it has been scientifically confirmed. How do we manage to stay calm even in times of crisis?
Breathe your way to serenity
What is particularly important now: yoga, meditation, breathing exercises (Pranayama), staying centered and in the present. Do everything with full attention and consciously. Our Ayurveda expert, Vaidya Dr. Saurabh Sharma, will show you a traditional breathing exercise from yoga in our YouTube webinar "Inner Balance - Basis of Health & Well-being", which strengthens the lungs and heart, improves digestion, cleanses the nervous system and thus has a positive effect on our energy balance.
Movement
Go outside now, especially if you can. Exercise and sunlight are good for us now.
Digital Detox
Of course, it is important to remain factually informed, but try not to spend too long and extensively with negative videos or scare theories. It is best to inform yourself for short, self-set periods of time.
Social contacts
Social contacts are incredibly important right now. We can communicate with others by phone or internet. Perhaps even with people we haven't been in contact with for a long time due to lack of time.
Ayurveda knowledge
Perhaps during this phase you will have time to delve into Ayurveda knowledge, begin a healthier lifestyle, incorporate the Ayurvedic daily routine, morning Abhyangas and other Ayurveda recommendations, change your diet, try out Ayurveda nutrition tips and Ayurveda recipes, and get to know Ayurveda a little better overall.
Positivity
Stay as positive as possible, maintain hope and calm. Please take good care of yourselves. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you and your families good health and that you find a good way for yourselves and your loved ones to deal with the current situation. Your Maharishi Ayurveda Team
