Ayurveda Menu Dessert: Heavenly Tea Pastry Balls

date 2026 August 17

Cream the softened margarine/butter and sugar until light and fluffy using a mixer or a whisk, then add the cumin and salt. Alternately fold in the cream and the flour mixed with the baking powder. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a baking tray with sunflower oil/ghee. Use two tablespoons to shape 30 balls and arrange them on the tray. Bake on the middle shelf at 175–200 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. The balls taste best when served whilst still warm.

TIP: Depending on your taste, you can use cinnamon and extra cardamom instead of cumin.
