Raja's Cup Biscuits
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the butter in pieces, the sugar and the vanilla. Depending on your taste, mix 2–3 tbsp of Raja’s Cup with 2 tbsp of boiling water and knead everything into a smooth dough.
Roll out the dough, cut out the biscuits and bake on a baking tray lined with baking paper at 180°C for 6 to 8 minutes.
To make a glaze, mix Sharkara sugar and water to form a smooth mixture and brush it onto the biscuits.
Our tip:
You can easily adapt the recipe to suit your taste. If you don’t like it too sweet, use less sugar in the dough and, instead of coating the biscuits with the icing, simply sprinkle Shakara sugar over them like icing sugar. For a stronger ‘coffee’ flavour, you can also increase the amount of Raja’s Cup to 4 tablespoons.
