When we began distributing Ayurvedic products in 1987, we were Ayurveda pioneers in Europe. With our decades of development work, we have been able to make a significant contribution to the spread of Ayurveda here.

Our focus has always been on the quality of our products. The standard for this was set by the Vedic scholar Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who contributed significantly to the revival of Maharishi Ayurveda in the late 1970s. All our products imported from India come from Maharishi Ayurveda Products India (MAP India). The world's leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality Ayurvedic products now delivers to over 50 countries.

A key factor in the company's success is its product quality. Maharishi Ayurveda ^® possesses a vast wealth of knowledge in the entire field of Ayurveda and works closely with a council of internationally recognized Vaidyas (Ayurvedic scholars). In its production, tradition meets modernity: On the one hand, the exceptionally original and authentic recipes of Maharishi Ayurveda ® form the basis of Maharishi Ayurveda ^® products. On the other hand, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and standardized and certified production processes ensure consistently high quality.

This diligence has already been recognized at the highest levels. MAP India's nutritional supplements have received the AYUSH Premium Mark Award, a quality seal according to WHO standards. Furthermore, MAP India is the only Indian manufacturer to be approved by the Indian Ministry of Health and a committee of experts for a project for the organized dissemination and recognition of Ayurveda (Golden Triangle Partnership GTP).

Our products are based on millennia-old recipes, following classical principles and sometimes with great effort. This allows them to unleash the full potential of Ayurvedic knowledge.

Specially trained pickers harvest our plants at the ideal time. Only raw materials that meet our high quality standards regarding purity, ripeness, and potency are used in production.

No lazy compromises

If important raw materials are not available or only in second-class quality, we would rather forgo production than accept inferior quality

Environmental protection

Ayurveda, the science of longevity, naturally also means protecting nature, the health of our employees, and our customers. We process ingredients carefully, sustainably, and largely locally to minimize transport routes. Where possible, we cultivate our plants using controlled organic cultivation on our own land. Rare plants are selectively cultivated to protect biodiversity. We use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified cardboard for our packaging. Packaging material made from recycled paper and starch, and the avoidance of unnecessary transport routes by processing on site, further protect the environment. We ship orders in a climate-neutral manner.

Cultivation and harvest

All products imported from India come from the main producer, "Maharishi Ayurveda Products India" (MAP India). This ensures the highest possible quality. Most plants and herbs are grown on our own sustainable land and are harvested at the time of their peak potency. The potency of a plant varies greatly depending on the season, lunar cycles, and the time of day it was harvested. Raw materials that, in our experts' opinion, do not meet the necessary quality standards regarding purity, ripeness, or potency are not used.

Production

Cultivation, harvesting, processing, and storage: All manufacturing processes are overseen by a council of Vaidyas (Ayurvedic scholars). This council was founded by India's leading experts: BD Triguna, advisor to the Indian government and former president of the Indian Society of Ayurvedic Physicians; Balraj Maharshi, a leading expert in Dhravyaguna, the identification and use of medicinal plants; and VM Dwivedi, an internationally recognized authority on Rasayanas (Ayurvedic herbal and mineral blends).

The All India Ayurvedic Congress is the largest professional organization and highest authority for Ayurveda in India, with over 300,000 Ayurvedic scholars as members. The ingredients of organic single herb capsules, spice teas, spice preparations (churnas) and other Maharishi Ayurveda Products come from controlled organic farming in accordance with EU Directives (EC) 834/2007 and (EC) 387/2008. These products are labeled with the European Union's organic seal.

AYUSH Premium Mark Award

Maharishi Ayurveda's nutritional supplements have already received the AYUSH Premium Mark Award. This is a certification from Foodcert India, initiated by the Indian Ministry of Health, to guarantee high quality standards for product purity. Every batch of imported products is tested for pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides), microbiological (bacteria, yeast, mold, salmonella), and heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic). These tests are conducted according to the latest European standards.

Vegan Flower

In our assortment you will find a whole range of vegan products. Some of them bear the Vegan Society's Vegan Flower, one of the most well-known and stringent quality marks for vegan products. This seal confirms, among other things, that the entire production process is completely free of animal testing.

BDIH/COSMOS seal

The natural cosmetics series of Maharishi Ayurveda products is certified according to the strict BDIH/COSMOS ORGANIC/COSMOS NATURAL guidelines for controlled natural cosmetics*.
