Maharishi Ayurveda is the leading provider of authentic Ayurvedic products based on original recipes proven effective for millennia. The headquarters of our European representative, Maharishi Ayurveda Europe, is located in Roermond, just across the German border in the Netherlands. From here, we organize the fast and reliable delivery of your ordered products.

Our headquarters are located in the home of Ayurveda, India. We also have independent locations in Europe and the USA, as well as sales offices on every continent. For Maharishi Ayurveda Products India (MAP India) alone, 2,000 dedicated employees work daily to promote health and well-being through authentic Ayurveda. We want to help ensure that the vast wealth of knowledge of Ayurveda can have a positive impact on our fellow human beings. Therefore, we offer free Ayurveda webinars on YouTube, send out newsletters, and publish blog posts on our website with numerous practical tips and advice for health and well-being.

For us, Ayurveda is an essential life principle — and that applies to our work as well. Our daily interaction with Ayurveda would not feel right if our actions and our products were not entirely focused on the well-being and health of those who trust us.

The "Golden Triangle" Project

As the only manufacturer of Ayurvedic products, Maharishi Ayurveda has been appointed to the "Golden Triangle Partnership" (GTP) project by the Indian Ministry of Health. Together with the "Department of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy (AYUSH)", the "Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)", and the "Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)", we are working to further promote Ayurveda and achieve greater scientific recognition. The decisive reason for this appointment is the exemplary working method of MAP India, among others because the "... production units and laboratories meet the standards for the production and evaluation of herbal-mineral preparations and Bhasmas (= Ayurvedic processing of mineral products)."

For more than 35 years, Maharishi Ayurveda has embraced this responsibility with corporate management that consistently follows the principles of sustainable business practices. We strictly adhere to authentic Ayurvedic manufacturing processes and place great importance on protecting the environment and conserving resources in the best possible way. In this way, we aim to preserve the natural foundations of life for ourselves and our children.

  • Most of the ingredients for Maharishi Ayurveda products come from controlled organic cultivation on our own agricultural land and from certified wild collections, as well as from carefully selected and, in some cases, certified organic farmers and cooperation partners from the Himalayan highlands. We attach the greatest importance to careful handling of raw materials, sustainability, mindfulness, and fair trade.
  • Our range of products that meet organic standards is constantly being expanded.
  • Since the company’s founding, we have stood for natural beauty care, actively contributed to the establishment of the BDIH certificate for certified natural cosmetics, and still today rely 100% on BDIH-COSMOS ORGANIC/COSMOS NATURAL certified natural cosmetics as a sign of sustainable production.
  • We process ingredients gently, sustainably, and as locally as possible to minimize transport routes.
  • Rare plant species are specially cultivated to protect and preserve the richness of Indian flora. Harvesters are carefully trained in sustainable plant harvesting methods.
  • We continuously stay informed about new developments in ecological and sustainable packaging options for our products, and we have already implemented many of them.
  • For our packaging, we use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified cardboard.
  • Wherever possible, we use environmentally friendly packaging material made from recycled paper and starch for shipping.
  • Your orders are shipped climate-neutrally with DHL GoGreen.
  • Through our participation in the Dual System for the recycling of sales packaging, we save thousands of kilograms of climate-damaging CO₂ every year.

The
History

“Ayur” means “life” or “lifespan”, and “Veda” means “knowledge”. Ayurveda is the holistic knowledge of long and healthy living. Its origins go back thousands of years. Through major cultural changes, the wholeness of Ayurveda gradually declined, until the Vedic scholar Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, in the late 1970s, inspired India’s leading Ayurveda experts, as well as Western doctors and scientists, to collect, restore, and verify the ancient teachings of Ayurveda using modern scientific methods. This complete, holistic form of Ayurveda was named “Maharishi Ayurveda”. He also established an international network of doctors, clinics, and schools.

The first product of Maharishi Ayurveda was the famous and well-researched universal tonic “Maharishi Amrit Kalash.” In 1987, the first production facilities were established in Noida and Faridabad, India, to manufacture this valuable Rasayana in its original, pure form.

Thanks to great dedication, other Rasayanas were soon added to the range, along with natural cosmetics, oils, and ghees. Today, the range includes more than 900 high-quality and authentic Ayurveda products — all based on the ancient principles of Ayurveda. Every product is prepared strictly according to the millennia-old recipes and traditional manufacturing methods to ensure it delivers the full potential of Ayurvedic knowledge.

Today, Maharishi Ayurveda Products is the leading brand for authentic, premium Ayurveda products. Around 2,000 employees in India are dedicated to the health and well-being of our customers.
