This valuable recipe contains a variety of precious herbs and spices as well as a selection of special ingredients, such as guggul and shilajit.
Guggul is an oleo-gum resin extracted from the trunks of the guggul tree (also known by its botanical name "Balsamodendron mukul"), which grows in the hot, dry plains of western India. However, the resin is never used in its raw form. Ayurvedic texts describe a sophisticated purification method for purifying the guggul resin. The purification, or shodhana, process is performed using Triphala decoctions.
The Indian name “Guggulu” means something like “that which protects against diseases”.
Shilajit, a precious mineral substance, oozes from rocks found in the icy high altitudes of the Himalayas. Ayurvedic texts also describe purification processes for shilajit. Only purified shilajit should be used in Ayurvedic products.
Collecting and cleaning these two ingredients is very time-consuming and important because only in this way can a high-quality Ayurvedic product be produced.
Good in combination with AyurFlex herbal oil.
