Festive Punch

Fruity, spicy punch for a warm and cozy feeling on cold days. A treat, especially after a long walk in the fresh winter air or during a cozy get-together with friends and family.

With fresh juices and two "superstars" of Ayurvedic cuisine: cinnamon and cloves. Both are known for their many positive effects. Scientific studies show, for example, that cloves are among the best natural antioxidants, and cinnamon strengthens the digestive fire Agni.

Our winter punch is not only delicious but also contributes to your well-being.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter red grape juice
  • 6 pcs. cloves
  • Juice of one orange
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • Zest (thin strips of the outer peel) from an untreated lemon and orange
  • 4 cl maple syrup

Preparation

Heat the grape juice with the spices and zest, covered, for about 30 minutes (making sure it doesn't boil), then let it steep for 10 minutes and strain.

Or try this punch variation:

Ingredients

  • 750 ml orange juice
  • 200-250 ml apple juice (make sure it has low acidity)
  • 4-5 pcs. star anise
  • 4-5 pcs. cassia cinnamon bark or Ceylon cinnamon
  • 6-8 pcs. cloves
  • Seeds from 2 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 3 tbsp raw cane sugar

Preparation

Put all ingredients in a pot and bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat and let it gently simmer for about 5 minutes so that the sugar can dissolve and the spices can develop their flavor.

Taste and, if necessary, season or sweeten to your personal preference.
